Anil Manji is the Data Protection Officer at Kudu Communications; he can be contacted at anil@hellokudu.com. It is necessary for Kudu Communications to process individuals’ data in line with the following legal bases: consent (in order to respond to those who provide their personal information via the contact form, and in order to maintain contact with Kudu following course attendance) and contract (in order to provide training to those who provide their personal information when purchasing a course).
Personal data may be shared with Google (Mail and Analytics), Microsoft (Teams) and Squarespace (contact form and payments). Kudu Communications is based in the UK, but sometimes the presenter will be overseas. In these circumstances, no personal data will not be transferred to that country.
Personal data will be retained (subject to an individual’s consent) for one year, however an individual can withdraw their consent during that period, in line with their rights under GDPR. When it is necessary to process personal data for contractual purposes (ie providing an email address in order to attend a course remotely), withdrawal of consent to process personal data may result in access to the course being withdrawn.
If this is done within one week of the course, individuals who choose to do this will be not be given a refund. Complaints can be submitted to the Data Protection Officer or to the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk).
